CIMA qualified accountant and founder of Virtual FD Plus based in Dublin specialising in business growth and the provision of part time FD services.
Michael’s initial training as a cost accountant was with a flagship US multinational company based in Ireland manufacturing mainframe computers. This was followed with senior financial and treasury roles in the electronics industry at FC & FD level.
Michael’s last role in industry was as International Finance Director with a privately owned US office furniture manufacturer supporting the company’s growth from a branch of a Bermudan company to incorporation in Ireland then globally in six other countries including China.
Throughout all these roles he built, developed and motivated competent finance teams built on trust, sound communications, accountability and engagement.
The implementation, delivery and reporting of continuous improvement programs with accountability via KPI metrics has been a key feature in the successes achieved.
Five years ago, Michael set up his own business in financial services and is delivering these same successes to small and medium sized businesses.
